Why the Need: This position reports to the Web Development Manager and is primarily responsible for the development of the firm's extranet and internet environments leveraging JQuery, React, OfficeUI Fabric JavaScript frameworks. The candidate will be required to visualize, communicate, administer and potentially improve upon the current environments as well as work closely with the development team and business owner. Typical Hours: Standard M-F 830 AM – 500 PM

Must Haves:

  • HTML, CSS, UX Architecture, JIRA/Confluence
  • Sketch | Axure RP
  • Portfolio with solid design examples is required

Responsibilities Include:

  • JavaScript Development and configuration of our custom Morgan Lewis SharePoint platform
  • Assistance in the Python projects
  • Maintain CI/CD pipeline through TFS/Azure DevOps for existing and new projects
  • Write effective and scalable code
  • Estimate, Develop and Unit test user stories with no technical debt
  • Implement UI designs and modifications
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to provide technical recommendations for requirements
  • Engage and interact with IT staff, other departments, and outside vendors
  • Self-motivated and driven to improve upon present technical skills, as well use self-learning tools

Requirements:

 

  • Four-year IT related college degree
  • Two or more years of delivering Web Stack solutions with a solid grasp of best practices and patterns (Python, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, or equivalent experience)
  • Two or more years of working experience with Python
  • Understanding of front-end frameworks and design patterns such as MVVM (React or Angular)
  • Experience with CI/CD solution, TFS/Azure DevOPs preferred
  • Experience with SCRUM development process, including delivering on commitments
  • Desire to work in team-oriented environment lead by senior team members.
  • Pragmatic and creative problem-solving abilities with a development mindset guided by long term maintainability and reusability
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and development frameworks
  • Strong desire to understand requirements and quickly communicate blockers
  • Strong desire to improve solution code (above and beyond minimal effort to meet acceptance criteria)
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive service-oriented demeanor
  • Strong analytical, time management, organizational and hands-on problem-solving skills

 Optional Experience:

  • Experience with SharePoint Framework development experience is a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell is a plus
  • Experience with Python data processing and analysis frameworks (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, and Sklearn)
  • Experience with popular web-development frameworks (like Django, Flask)
  • Experience integrating with disparate data sources
  • Experience working with NoSQL, ArcGIS, Splunk or Azure Cloud Services is a plus
