Our client; a Top 10 Global Bank is seeking an AVP/VP of HR for Corporate Training focused on their New York Branch.

Description:

 

This incumbent assesses organization-wide developmental needs to drive training
initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This
position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to
educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. They will be
responsible for the successful implementation and execution of learning and
development solutions.  

 

Your goal as the Corporate Trainer/Training Development,
AVP/VP will be to scope role specific and company-wide training programs,
conduct informative training sessions, promote company efficiency, and improve
the skills of all personnel. You will collaborate with department managers as a
resource for employee training and ensure maximum effectiveness of training
programs.

Responsibilities:


 Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career
paths, and annual performance appraisals
 Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
 Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses
needs and expectations
 Track employee attendance and completion of training and record in
application tracking
 Deploy a wide variety of training methods
 Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
 Monitor and evaluate the training program’s effectiveness and success
 Manage training budget
 Provide opportunities for ongoing development
 Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
 Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best
practices
 Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos, etc.
 Select and book venues if needed
 Manage organizations’ employee self-development program
 Manage centralize organizations’ training records.


Requirements:


 Degree/Masters in training, HR, Finance education or other related fields

 Minimum 8 years of experience in training and development area.  
 Significant work experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator, preferably
in a large corporate environment
 Knowledge and successful implementation of instructional design theory
 Familiar with both traditional and modern job training methods, trends and
techniques
 Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency; familiarity with web
delivery tools
 Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
 Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple
assignments and prioritize work.
