Job Function:

 

  • Support the planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and tracking across all Compliance Department initiatives / projects to continually enhance the Branch’s Compliance related projects including IT-driven projects and regulatory examination projects.
  • Set up compliance related project management processes and procedures and update projects status periodically.
  • Act as the bridge between business users and project implementation vendors or teams
  • Work with initiative / project owners to develop high-level project plans that define project objectives, key project activities, deliverables, owners/participants, and timelines
  • Create detailed execution plans to further break down key project activities into manageable, individualized tasks /process steps to help track overall progress
  • Design and implement a project management tool to effectively track initiatives / projects
  • Track strict internal deadlines to ensure the overall activities are completed within the timelines
  • Coordinate with each task owners on a regular basis to ensure the timely completion of the work, escalate items as necessary if at risk of delay
  • Manage change requests as scope, project objectives, and timelines need updates
  • Generate regular reports to update the status of projects to Compliance management and Branch Senior Management
  • Responsible for projects related documentation required by the regulators such as DFS 504 requirements

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, majors in Business / Finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred
  • At least 4 years of work experience in the Financial Institutions ideally in Risk or Compliance
  • Lead or manage the projects related to DFS 504 regulatory requirements
  • Must have working experience in project management or project delivery, IT related project management experience is a plus
  • Highly organized and able to operate in team environments, especially in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required, familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, Jira, or others) a plus
  • Ability to read, write and speak Mandarin a plus
